Kit Carson Lodge #326 Bible located at Elizabethtown, N.M.

Kit Carson Lodge #326 was chartered as a masonic lodge by the Grand Lodge of Missouri in 1865. Kit Carson Lodge #326 was located in the mining town of Elizabethtown, N.M. Its charter was arrested in 1878 and moved to Cimarron, N.M. after a Grand Lodge was established in New Mexico. The last Master of Kit Carson Lodge #326 was John Codlin. Past Master John Codlin retained the bible after the lodge closed. The Codlin family loaned the bible to Cimarron #37 for safe keeping. The bible is now a part of the archives of Gate City #11 in Raton, N.M. due to the consolidation of Cimarron and Raton lodges in 2019.
